It's actually embarrassing why I created these Salah Worksheets for kids.

My 6 year old usually prays with her siblings (not always mind you), and she usually asks, "Is it 4, 4?" If it's Asr for example.

Then recently when we were talking about  praying the fardh, sunnahs etc, I was asked " But how would you even know which ones which?"

Then it hit me.

She hasn't learnt the rakats yet!

I fell into a sort of panic mode! With the older kids I always made sure to explain each prayer and rakats properly. I guess with the younger kids I assumed they would pick it up since their siblings are praying too.

My bad.

I then quickly sprung into action to create these salah worksheets haha.

Which, she is actually really excited about. She sat next to me as I created them and I would hear a "yay" after a while lol.

Of course I had to make it a little more hands on.

So I opted to make it cut & paste, with plenty of opportunities to colour!

Let's learn about salah

This salah activity worksheet idea came to me when I was wondering how to also incorporate explaining what time of day each salah needs to be prayed.

When it comes to fajr and Isha it's easier for them to understand.

But the middle 3 prayers can become confusing for younger children, which is where the labelled pictures come into play.

The worksheets about salah are simple, yet straight to the point.

Once they are complete you can even turn them into a notebook, or simply stick up on display.

As long as they are regularly seen and read, they will definitely help your child learn the salahs and rakats etc.
